Estimate gasoline consumption
A. Using your own judgment, estimate the gallons of gasoline consumed in Norman, OK (100,000 people). State your assumptions.
B. From this number, extrapolate your estimation to the gasoline consumption in the entire country (US ~ 350 million people). After getting this number, look up the US annual gasoline consumption on the web site of the Energy Information Administration. Compare this number to your estimate and comment on the differences. Please, do not carry out the calculations in the reverse order. In fact, the two numbers do not have to match. You will get full credit as long as your assumptions and procedure are logical.
