Established goals for foreign subsidiaries

Most MNE's have established goals for each of their foreign subsidiaries, cooperative ventures and other forms of operation modes with the hope of achieving the strategic objective for the MNE as a whole. However, various constraints may affect the achievement of goals. Constraints may include the whole versus a part, non-comparable data, separation of time and distance, variable levels of subsidiary maturity and volatility of the global environment.

You are required to review the media (radio, television, newspaper, social) and report to the group on a current event in the news regarding some form of volatility that may be occurring in any country outside of Canada.

Comment on how this particular event may or may not impact your performance if you were on assignment in this country. Include the following in your post:
