In this task, you will develop a code of ethics for your BizCafe business. First, you need to assess how you, as the business owner, want your employees to behave and act. This will help you develop the code of business ethics for this business according to the needs of the company and its stakeholders. The language of the code must be simple, concise and easily understood by all those who make up the organization. Likewise, it must be a practical document, easily accessible and available to all those to whom it is addressed. In addition, it must be balanced between rights and obligations.
For this assignment I the student have to make a manual code, I am almost done, but I am stuck on these parts.
1. Purpose of the code of ethics: Provide a brief summary of the purpose of the code of conduct, as well as the expectations for compliance. State why you have a code of ethics in business.
2. Dress code: In this section, you must clearly state what is expected of employees in relation to their dress and grooming.
3. Use of technology and safety in the work environment: Establish the rules of what is expected of the employee in the appropriate use of technology.
4. Relationship between employees: This section describes expectations regarding relationships between employees (regular staff and supervisors), including fraternization and romantic relationships.
5. Harassment and discrimination: This section clearly describes what is not allowed in the workplace in terms of harassment or discrimination.
6. Diversity: This section includes the company's statement regarding the topic of diversity and inclusion.
7. Disciplinary actions: This section should include the disciplinary actions that your organization is willing to take in the event that this code of conduct is violated.
