Question

A simple network application socket connection communication programming lab.

Using Python, or a professor/instructor approved optional compiler/interpreter, type a small application script that will:

1. Establish a socket to a DNS server

2. Query the DNS server for a DNS host name or IP address

3. Parse the results and report them to a text output

The criteria for a good socket query solution includes: effectively commented error free code that provides some processed query results clearly demonstrating the ability to establish a socket and process the results of an information request.

The deliverables for this lab will be the source code (and compiled binary if a complied language is used), and any documentation required to explain the intent of the code.
