A business plan is essential for any business start-up. A business plan is a comprehensive document that can be of dozens or even hundreds of pages. For this course, you will make a smaller version of the plan for a business that you would like to start or are interested in. You will start the business plan this week and after receiving feedback from your instructor, you will complete it in Week 5.

In this week, address the following to make a business plan for the business of your choice:

  • Table of contents.
  • an executive summary providing an overview of the type of business. Potential investors and bankers are busy people; think of the executive summary as a short advertisement that motivates the reader to continue reading the rest of the business plan.
  • detailed business description, which includes a mission statement and a vision statement.
  • Provide a detailed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and the business strategy. Pay close attention to the grading criteria.
