An envirinmental group, Natural Resources Defense Council, has estimated that 5500 to 6200 children who are preschool today may contract cancer during there lives becuase of the pesticides they consume in there food In addition, these children will be at greater risk for kidney damage, problems with immunity, and other serious imparments. The government bases it's pesticide-safety standards on adults, but children consume many more the fruits and fruit products likely too contain pesticides.
