A random sample obtained from a population has a mean of µ=100 and a standard deviation of σ = 20. The error between the sample mean and the population mean for a sample of n = 16 is 5 points and the error between a sample men and population mean for a sample of n = 100 is 2 points. Explain the difference in the standard error for the two samples.

What is the coefficient of friction between cheese and ice : on one particular shot, his 1.00 g pellet gets stuck in the cheese, causing it to slide 25 cm before coming to a stop. If the muzzle velocity of the gun is 64m/s and cheese has a mass of 98 g, what is the coefficient of friction between the cheese..

  Hypothesis test-difference between two means

Difference in the mean number of times men and women order take-out dinners in a month? What is the p-value?

Appropriate distribution to build simulation model

A five-star hotel accepts 100 room reservations daily. For each reservation accepted, there is a 7% chance that the guest will not arrive.

Test whether the two variables are independent

If a student is randomly selected what is the possibility that the student is male and from out of state.

  Mean for a distribution

It is better to use the median rather than the mean for a distribution when:

Finding degree of confidence for interval

Use value you found in part a to find out degree of confidence for interval 65.65

  Mean for grouped data

The following frequency table determine the ages of 100 shoppers at the local grocery store. Compute the sample mean for this data (mean for the grouped data).

  Desired level of confidence

The estimated salary range is $4,500, the margin of error should be $100 and the desired level of confidence is 95%.

Goodness of fit test for poisson distribution

In order to test the assumption of a Poisson distribution, a random sample of 150 ten-minute intervals was taken.

  Determining critical value of chi-square

What will be critical value of chi-square if test is to be performed at 0.025 level?  At the 0.05 level?

  Convenience sampling method

One approach would be to contact every psychology graduate student you know and ask them to fill out a questionnaire about it.

  Explaining conditional probability

Describe what do you mean by conditional probability. Give clinical example to support the explanation.

  Percent of the observations-probability
