Social responsibility and compliance is an important part of a business today for many different reasons. Regardless of the reasons or motivation by the organization, what impact does this have on a firms business strategies, policies and overall performance.

For example - Microsoft. Bill Gates has been removed from the day-to-day operation of MS for years, but the Gates Foundation is one of the most successful philanthropic organizations in the world.
