As a new Human Resources Manager, you've been tasked with creating (or redesigning) a compensation strategy for your organization. Based on what you've learned in class, consider the following:

How will you determine whether positions are exempt or non-exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act?

Will you utilize independent contractors (aka contingent workers) in your organization? If so, how and why? If not, why not?

Where do you expect your organization should fall on the spectrum between an entitlement philosophy and a pay-for-performance philosophy? Why?

How will you determine how to position your organization within the competitive labor market (e.g. lead, match, or lag the market)?

Write an initial post that addresses this in detail, using research content to support your answers.
