1 For the "Country Attractivness" box, select and enter five things you would need to look at in evaluating a particular country when making an investment decision.

2 For the "Competitive Position" box, select five things you would need to do well as a company to succeed in the market (often called "Key Success Factors").

3 In the "Weight" box, enter a weighting as to the importance of each factor in your analysis. The weightings should total 100, the spreadsheet will track the total for you at the bottom of the Weight column. Do this for both the Country Attractiveness and the Competitive Position boxes.

4 Rank each country you are considering using a scale from 1 to 10. A rank of 10 indicates a very favourable rating; for example: if one of your factors is political risk, a rank of 10 indicates very low risk, whereas a rank of 1 would mean the country is very risky. Do this for both Country Attractiveness and Competitive Position

5 The data will automatically plot on the chart located on the "Graph" page.
