In healthcare, ensuring that patients feel safe and comfortable is critical. The community department of Americare CSS, a Certified Home Health Agency, ensures patients have access to quality healthcare services in their homes. Families need assurance that their loved ones are in good hands. The department experiences diverse problems, including patient falls at home. Each year, more than one out of four older patients falls. Over 800,000 patients are hospitalized every year due to a fall injury, including a hip fracture or a head injury (CDC, 2021). Many falls occur at home, where patients spend much of their time and move around without thinking about their safety. The paper aims to identify and describe the complexities of the American CSS and other concerns. Also, the paper describes the nurse-sensitive outcomes appropriate for patient falls at home and interventions that can help address the issue.
