If you wanted to test the means are, in other words you are testing the following hypotheses:

H0 : µ2 1 -µ2 2 = 0

H1 : µ2 1 -µ2 2 ?= 0

a. Setting α = 0.05, do you have enough statistical evidence to reject the null hypothesis? Why or why not?

b. Now you want to test whether the population variances are equal. Setting α = 0.05, do you have enough statistical evidence to reject that the population variances are equal?
