Tim is at his favorite bar enjoying a well-deserved single malt Scotch on the rocks. He decides to play some pool with some of the other patrons. However, Tim is a terrible pool player and he has a very bad temper, especially after drinking whiskey.

After losing three straight games to Patron #1, Tim is really angry. Patron #1 announces to the whole bar, "Tim really sucks at pool!" All the patrons laugh loudly at Tim, especially Patron #2 who has been watching Tim play. As a result, Tim takes his pool cue and smashes Patron #1's hand as he rests it on the cushion of the pool table. Tim hits Patron #1's hand several times until the pool cue breaks into several pieces. Patron #1 collapses on the floor, holding his hand and screaming in pain.

Tim then turns to Patron #2, pulls his .357 from his waistband and points it at Patron #2. Tim yells at Patron #2, "Whose laughing now!" and fires three shots at Patron #2. Tim is only about 8 feet from patron #2 but, due to his drinking, Tim does not hit Patron #2. Instead, all three shots hit the wall behind Patron #2 about chest level, missing Patron #2 by inches.

At this point, Patron #3 stands up to help Patron #1 who is still lying on the floor. Tim then points his gun at Patron #3 and says, "Don't move." Patron #3 sits back down and remains on his bar stool until Tim stops pointing the gun at him. Tim then leaves.

A doctor later examines Patron #1's hand and determines he suffered several broken bones and his hand will never function properly again.

What crimes did Tim commit as it relates to Patron #1? Patron #2? Patron #3? State the elements that helped you choose your charges.
