ENGN130 Computing For Engineers - Sydney Institute of Business and Technology

Question:

As a student of the unit Computer for Engineers (ENGN130), you are required to design a program to do a survey about the Covid-19 pendamic in the world in 2020 as belows:

1. Collect the data of 5 countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, England which are affected by the pendamic in May, June, July, August, September and October such as: population, total cases, total deaths, total recovered, active cases and total case/population.

2. Using Matlab to design a GUIs to display the collected data of these countries as belows:
a. Display the total cases, total deaths, total recovered, active cases and total case/population in different months.
b. Design an option to plot the changing of the total cases of these countries from May to October.
c. Design an option to plot the chaning of the total cases, total deaths, total recovered, active cases and total case/population of each country from May to October.
d. Design an option to display the country which has one or some of following criterias such as: the highest number of total cases, the highest number of total deaths, the highest number of total recovered and the highest number of total cases/population in different selected month.

3. Compile the program into an execute file.

Report and marking:

The report is written in a word file which includes the below information:

1. A data table which includes all collected information as mentioned in the assignment question.

2. Coding of the program which is copied from Matlab editor window with detail explanation.

3. Coding files of the program.

4. An instruction to explan how does the program work.

5. A brief explanation about why do you think the program can be extended to be a scientific useful software which other people can use in the future.

6. Communications with the teacher during the session about the Assignment.
