Question

Canada officially uses two languages, English and French. Students in Canada are encouraged to learn fluency in both languages, as this will significantly increase their job prospects, not to mention increase the sense of unity between English and French-speaking groups. Do you see the United States ever adopting this stance-officially using both English and Spanish, encouraging students to become bilingual, and striving for unity between English and Spanish-speaking groups? Why or why not?
