You are the new Public Health nurse in Phoenix AZ, during the COVID-19 pandemic. A mother and her teenage daughter came to a free screening that was offered at the clinic. The mom does not speak English and the daughter speaks minimal English. Test results demonstrate that the mom tests positive for COVID-19. As you are unable to complete contract tracing over the phone due to limited English, the public health nurse conducts a home visit to educate and gather more information. After assessing the home environment, you come to learn that this mom is actually a part of a recent group of Haitian immigrants who moved into the community through a church group. There are currently 30 community members living within a four apartment 2 room complex.
