ASSIGNMENT SCOPE

This planning study is to assess the existing intersection of the Stuart Highway/ Goyder Road intersection and develop options to upgrade the intersection to improve road safety and operational capacity of the intersection.

DELIVERABLES

• Identify the issues (road safety and congestion) at the intersection and evaluate improvements.
• Explain in detail the steps you have undertaken for calibration and validation of your model.
Please send though your base SIDRA model for AM &PM peaks

Final report- Due date:28 May 2021
• Advice on potential intersection treatments using SIDRA software.
• Final Report detailing the proposed options including pros and cons for each option
• Impact of the proposed options on all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists
• Impact of the proposed options on the adjacent intersection(s) and wider road network
• Concept sketch of the recommended option

INTERVIEW

Please also prepare for an interview for your final works. The interview time for each student is around30minutes. You need to send through your SIDRA model two days before the interview.
