Energy is defined as the ability to do work. Energy flows through an ecosystem from the producers to the consumers.

In this discussion you are to explain how chemical energy is linked to the conservation of energy in a living organism. Choose an organism that interests you, such as a daisy, a shark or a butterfly as an example, and describe energy flow in its everyday life requirements. How does it obtain energy? How does it store energy? How does it use energy?
