Question

Jason is an RN in the ER in a major hospital. He recently had a patient in a car accident admit to him that he has AIDS but is afraid to tell his mother, who has been his caregiver for the past several years and will help to care for the 8 inch laceration in his leg that will require dressing changes. Jason urges the patient to inform his mother in order to protect her from acquiring the disease. Jason also encourages the patient to seek treatment for the disease. When Jason is leaving the hospital the mother asks him how her son is doing and when she will be able to take him home to care for him.
