Research indicates that over 70% of employees are dissatisfied with their jobs. One of the main gripes is a perception of unfair manager conduct. On the surface, employees may appear to accept unfair treatment, but they may covertly react by seeking other employment, engaging in negative behaviors designed to “get back” some equity, and voicing their concerns to people inside and outside of the organization. In short, an organization pays for unfair treatment of employees. Read Chapter 3: Ensuring Fair Treatment and Legal Compliance. Then respond to the following: 1. Provide examples of different types of injustices that you have experienced at work. 2. What actions could the organization that (and/or a manager who) is involved in these injustices take to ensure that employees perceive treatment of employees to be fair? Explain in your own words and include examples of specific steps that could be taken to prevent injustices in the future.
