You are a new HR Director at Life and Styles Inc, a service organization that provides people with ways to have a more healthy and productive lifestyle. The organization is about four years old, having grown from a 10 person start-up with a very charismatic leader to the current 100 employees.

You've now been there for 5 months in this newly created position and have observed that the culture is somewhat toxic, with a sparse management structure, people being very aggressive towards one another and very few supportive HR programs in place. Turnover is high and the company has difficulty recruiting new staff. The company has not experienced the market growth they'd expect.

What steps would you take to help change the culture into one that encourages greater employee engagement and better organizational performance?
