Purpose: to write a scene using a clear point of view
Scenario: a man walks into a barber shop in 1950s for a shave. The man has been coming to this barber for many years and has recently been sleeping with the barber's wife. The man doesn't know if the barber knows. The barber sharpens his razor and prepares to shave the man. The tension is high as the man leans back for his shave. The barber's wife enters the barber shop.
The themes here are betrayal, love, lust, secrecy, and infidelity.
Instructions:
1) In a short intro paragraph, declare what point of view are using. use 3 rd person limited, 3rd person omniscient, or first person. If use 3rd person limited or 1st person, will need to declare which person you are using.
2) Writ a scene of roughly three on the scenario above using the point of view chose. Give the characters names and keep the tension high. Emphasize the conflict where possible.
