We are exploring the history and evolution of technology with a specific emphasis on the ways in which humans influence technology use and adoption, and the ways in which technological advancements have shaped human society and culture over time.

For your initial post, select a historically significant technology that you believe has had an important impact on the society and culture of the time. Utilizing our course text, this week's resources and course lesson, as well as outside sources (as appropriate), describe the technology and provide a list of at least three ways in which that technology shaped/changed society.
