Social media can evoke specific emotions in people. Some people can feel happy, sad, mad, or indifferent to Facebook postings, Instagram® pictures, Pinterest® posts, and Twitter “tweets.” The following Discussion is directed towards the consumer’s emotional reactions to a specific social media campaign.

Topic 1: Emotional Reactions to Specific Social Media

Respond to the following social media with your emotional reaction. The local humane society posts pictures of abused animals on their Facebook page every day with their stories to try to find potential homes. The stories are sometimes very gruesome and horrible. The pictures show severe neglect and malnourishment.

How does it make you feel and why? Would your emotional response incite you to action? If so, which actions and why?
