Over the course of your degree, we have explored your scope of practice both as a nursing student but also as a future RN. To work effectively in a team (and be able to delegate) you must also understand the scope of practice of other team members. In this task we are exploring the scope of practice of Enrolled Nurses and unregulated workers (in this case, an Assistant in Nursing).
In this task, you will explore the scope of practice by applying the five rights of delegation to a provided scenario.
You firstly need to read the provided AT2 Case Scenario . You then need to examine the 'five rights of delegation'.
Hint: when looking for resources and publications to cite in your plan, authors Jennifer Barrow and Sandeep Sharma do a lot of work on the '5 rights of delegation'.
These are:
Right activity
Right circumstance
Right person
Right communication
Right supervision and evaluation
