Assignment- You may not work together in any form for this assignment.

Use your favorite Land Modeling Software Package to complete the requirements.

AutoDesk Civil 3D is a free program available to students that will work to complete this assignment. You can download this on your computer.

Tait Lab will have Civil 3D on the computers. There are numerous YouTube video Tutorials on how to use it. DDSN 245 is a 3 credit class utilizing Civil 3D. It is a great resume builder as well as a requirement for the Land Surveying Minor.

To be submitted:

1. A completed Topographic Map at an appropriate scale on 24"x36" paper. Include a ½ " border, North Arrow, Scale Bar, Title Block, and Legend. The Contour Interval is 1 ft. Label the Index Contours. (Round the label to the nearest .1 ft).

2. A copy of your edited TIN Model on 11" x 17" paper. This drawing does not have to be to a certain scale. Use print to fit to place it on your paper.

The format of the text file is P, N, E, Z, D and it is called Extra Credit.CSV. It is an excel file that you can open in any text editor or excel. You will be able to import all 2000+ points into Civil 3D electronically.

The edges of the road, road banks, CL of Dry Creek are all break lines that will needed to be added to your surface. Eliminate flat triangles on the perimeter of your TIN Model and add break lines before Contour Line Generation.

Use appropriate symbols recommended from the chapters on Mapping in the text for real property features on your map. You can get the description of the point surveyed from the text file.
