Here is the question I had to respond to: Describe crime theories that can explain behaviors identified in analysis. Discuss how these theories can be applied. And here is my response: Using Behavioral theory is a key component to explaining behaviors identified in the analysis. Through the elements of behavioral theory, elements of the individual's environment, employment, and education can be studied and attached to the individual's social abilities. "One of the most popular theories of criminal behavior, especially among sociologists and social psychologists, is the notion that criminal behavior is learned behavior"(Jeffery, 1965, p. 294).

The evaluation of the individual's family dynamics, employment history, and educational accomplishments can explain the reasoning behind their avenues of approach toward their social life. Behavior theory can be applied to various neighborhoods to get an accurate depiction of the behaviors of those who commit crimes at higher rates and lower rates. Also, through the evaluation of behaviors identified in the analysis, various factors can determine whether the behavior by the individual is learned behavior or simply impulsive behavior. The environment of the individual can persuade the individual whether youth or adult into criminal behaviors.
