Sodium azide (NaN3) is the chemical used in air bags. Sensors detect the initial crash and electrically initiate the explosion of a small charge of this compound. When reacted, the sodium azide reacts to release nitrogen gas (N2) and sodium metal. (Other chemicals are added to react with the very reactive sodium metal.) Determine the number of grams of NaN3 needed to provide 55.0 liters of N2 to fill an air bag at 75?F and 1250 torr. NaN3 (s) -> Na (l) + N2 (g) please show me the steps so i can learn too.
