The electric starter in an automobile equipped with a 12 V battery draws a current of 80.00 A when in operation. Assume it takes the motor 2.90 s to start the engine. What amount of electric energy has been withdrawn from the battery?

The automobile is equipped by a generator that delivers 7.20 A to the battery when the engine is running. How long must the engine run in order for the generator to restore the energy in the battery to its original level?
