Mohamed Al Ali, R. A. A., Md Yusoff, R., Fadillah Binti Ismail, & Kazi, A. G. (2018), mention in their article how training is an important factor in not only private but also public organizations of the modern world. There are many studies done in the specific field, which is training and development, and it too shows that one of the key factors in order to run an organization effectively and efficiently is training and development.

In order to run an effective training and development program, the department must first make a thorough analysis of the workforce in order to know and get accomplice with each and every one based on the skills that they might be lacking or are not good in. Then only, can the program not be a waste of time and be beneficial for the workforce. As it will then truly be beneficial as the post program results will actually provide the employees with skills that they may be lacking.

(Mohamed. A, etc, 2018) continue their study with the assumption that the programs related to training and also the development of employees in public organizations are weak, in the sense that they are willing to commit to the way of providing training to the employees which may be called traditional or also not properly thought out, as the employers do not focus much on investing in the employees.

Moving further in the article, it is also discussed, despite the fact that organizations try very hard in order to improve their productivity and that United Arab Emirates is the top in Arab countries in terms of productivity, the country was ranked on the 16th position. This is because, at the time of the study only fifty percent of the organizations would undergo a formal approach to the program where as when compared to countries like France or the United Kingdom the numbers were as high as eighty to eighty five percentage.

Moving on to the employees, (Mohamed. A, etc, 2018) discussed that only thirty five percentage of employees receive a formal employee appraisal, and only nineteen percentage acknowledge of having a particular system of appraisal. All these percentages or factors have a toll on the minds of the employees at the end of the day as it is all about them.

In the modern world, the employees want to and also expect to be taken into consideration when it comes to participation or their involvement in managerial activities or procedures as opposed to the traditional thinking of employees being employees. By doing so, employees get motivated and get a sense of being worthy (McConnell, 2005).
