summary of the following discussion by Ghrouz, et al. (2019). As a reminder from Chapter 1, a positive relationship means that as one variable increases, the other variable also increases. An inverse or negative relationship means that as one variable increases the other variable decreases. (5 points)

Our findings are in line with those of Asztalos et al., who established that the association between physical activity and mental health were always positive, regardless of the intensity of activity. Hence, all physical activity types were either positivelv associated with emotional well-being or inversely associated with psychological complaints such as depression and anxiety. In terms of the association between physical activity and mental health, current evidence suggests that physical activity can be used as an important intervention in the treatment of mental health disorders. Moreover, physical activity is an effective strategy to assist in reducing negative emotions and thus may represent a strategy for promoting better mental health among nonclinical groups.
