The project Proposal covers basic details to help capture the initial project requirements and allow the setting of project's aims and objectives which students have to achieve. The project proposal is important and essential to ensure that students' project selections are of appropriate level and scope.

Supervisors may also propose some topics from which students may select. Supervisors also provide guidance deemed necessary to improve the quality of proposed projects. Once there is an agreement on the project proposal between students and supervisors, students are required to further refine the draft proposal incorporating any agreed upon suggestions. The refined proposal needs to be approved by a panel of three faculties (supervisor, examiner and moderator) of the department before students may proceed with their projects. The approval process has to be completed by the end of week 6.
