Education is key to the independence of people with disability. It helps close most achievement gaps and fosters a sense of belonging for all. This is why every student gets special education and also entitled to a free appropriate one, which is covered by the Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA) because about third of disabled US students have a specific leaning disability (CDC). Equality in education will always ensure that every student feels valued and succeeds in school, no matter their background. There is always a continuum of placements available IDEA provides the early intervention for kids. Access to quality care focuses mostly on financial care through the provision of insurance. Many people with disabilities receive healthcare through government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. This helps with many who may not have access to employer-based or even other private coverage. They have many medical needs living throughout their lifetimes.
