Topic: Economic Voting in the UK (in particular 2010 and 2015 General Elections)
The Importance of Economic Indicators on General Election Outcomes in the UK at different stages of a business cycle.
Abstract: There is a consensus in the economic literature that national economic perceptions play an important role on the vote choice in democracies. Recently, many studies have suggested that using standard cross-sectional or time-series data leads to biased results due to causality issues and endogeneity problem.
In this paper, binomial and multinomial regression equations will be modelled to explain the outcome of the 2010 and 2015 General Election in the UK. - this is the bit that I require assistance in. My aim is then to compare the economics and party identification coefficients between the models estimated for the 2010 and 2015 General Election Outcomes
1. Introduction
The paper begins by reviewing the literature on economic voting before examining the theoretical shortcomings of using traditional cross-sectional data. This is followed by a section which specifies and tests binomial and multinomial logistic models of the voting in the 2015 and 2010 General Elections using the data from the British Election Study.

And I am using SPSS software - I will include a version of my edited data but I believe it to be incorrect.
I require assistance with the Methodology chapter - here's what I have so far.
2. Data and Methodology
In response to clear deficiencies in using cross-sectional data, I will be using panel data, in particular panel data corrected for the endogeneity problem. I will deploy the 2014- 2015 BES panel data for the purpose of getting less endogenous measures of party identification.
I require a model similar to the one described in the book ‘Affluence, Austerity and Electoral Change in Britain' by Paul Whiteley, Harold D. Clarke, David Sanders
Details:
I am writing an economics assignment on economic voting in the UK in particular the 2010 and 2015 General Elections in the UK.
I am looking at panel data surveys to determine what factors have a significant effect on GE outcomes. I require help with writing the methodology chapter - I need to set up a binomial and multinomial logistic equations using software like SPSS. All the details are in the file - but I was unable to attach an SPSS edited file - please let me know how I can do that.
