Reword These early conceptualizations fit within the current healthcare systems and an area of specialty practice because while things in nursing change constantly, the fundamental aspect of nursing never changes. We are all collectively doing what we can to benefit the patient and increase their chance of returning to a functional life. Our goal at the end of every shift is to aid in the healing of the patient, love, and encouragement (without false hope) directed toward the patient and the family, advocating for our patient, and take care of our patients in a way that is pleasing and creates a sense of accomplishment- treating each patient as if they were our family member and seeing to it they receive not only the best care possible, but to ensure that nothing we do can cause harm. These early conceptualizations give us a "road map" that, if we stick to the map laid out by these men and women before us, we can ensure that our patients receive the best care possible.
