The convergent validity of the PRFS was examined by comparing established measures for each psychosocial risk factor to the PRFS scales for each risk factor (Eichenauer et al., 2010). The independent comparison measures used were the Beck Depression Inventory II, Beck Anxiety Inventory, State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory -2, Life Stressors and Social Resources Inventory Adult Form, and Marlowe-Crowne Social Desirability Scale (Eichenauer et al., 2019). Individual item correlations with the independent-comparison measures of the same risk factor were considered. Four inclusion criteria were used to analyze each item for inclusion in the survey: high correlations with non-PRFS measure of target construct, low correlations with measures of non-target construct, contribution to the content of the measured construct, and clinical judgment of the item significance (Eichenauer et al., 2019). The internal consistency reliability of the PRFS measure was established through the Cronbach alpha reliability statistic. This was found to be greater than 0.8 for depression, anger, and hostility which is considered strong, and 0.76 for social isolation which is considered acceptable. FRS was evaluated in.
