Case Control Study

Please ensure that the article that you pick includes statistics that you understand. Do not pick an article that has statistics which you cannot interpret.

Critically appraise the article. You should use the relevant CASP checklist to help you here. Then design your e poster slide which could have the following sections (this will depend on the type of paper you choose):

Introduction to the paper and why the study was done/rationale.

Overview of the research questions/aims/hypothesis.

Sampling/Recruitment/Sample Size.

Methods - i.e. research design and statistics used. Ethical issues if relevant

Main findings - interpret and show the main results. Confounders.

Limitations including bias

Main conclusions

Once you have done this please write 2000 words in the notes area of the e poster presentation slide outlining your e poster and how you critically appraised your article. Both your poster and your 2000 word note section should be referenced.
