A gear drive system is to be used in a dusty environment with a room temperature of 45^oC. The gear drive system is also required to achieve a speed reduction ratio of 100:
1. The input shaft of the gear system must be aligned with the output shaft.
a) Propose a gear system and show your detail calculations.
b) Design a suitable housing for your gear system.
c) Produce three dimensional CAD drawing of your gear system. You must also produce manufacturing drawings for the gear housing.
d) Suggest appropriate manufacturing techniques for the gear housing and discuss how you can assemble the product effectively.
e) Discuss any other important design considerations you think is appropriate to market this product to your client.
