RAS GTPase plays an important role in EGFR signaling. About 30% of human cancer is due to a mutation in RAS that keeps RAS in GTP bound form. If you treat these RAS mutant cells with a drug that blocks dimerization of EGFR, do you think it will be effective in treating cancer caused by RAS?
