A chemical engineer felt confidently that she had improved the gas mileage that a Toyota Corolla could obtain using an additive she developed.Previously to her research,Toyota Corolla's averaged 40 miles per gallon using a professional driver in a controlled situation.

She took a random sample of only five Toyota Corollas (she was very sure of herself) from the relevant population,and used the same professional driver in the same controlled situation.The variable is normally distributed.

She obtained the following results;

a. Set up and test the relevant Hypothesis with alpha equal to only 0.005. The way I want you to test this,is to find the appropriate p value, and come to the correct decision.

b. Draw the t distribution, place the hypothesized value of the mean appropriately, place the sample value correctly, and shade the p value area correctly.
