Draw the pedigree for each family. For each individual, write his/her name and genotype. If the problem does not state the person as having the condition, assume the person doesn't have it.
Family A
Colorblindness is an X-linked recessive condition.
Scott and Jill have four daughers: Sarah, Katie, Samantha and Chloe.
Katie is married to Jack, and their two daughters, Lea and Zoe, are not colorblind. Sarah is married to James and they have two sons, Tommy and Nick. Nick is colorblind. Two of Nick's male cousins, Max and Alex, are colorblind, and his female cousin, Amy, is also colorblind. Amy and Max have a colorblind dad named Ben, who is married to Samantha. Alex's sister, Casey, is not colorblind, and neither are their parents, Chloe and Rick.
Post-Pedigree Construction Problems:
1. Explain why Ben has to be colorblind in order for Amy to be colorblind.
2. If Amy were to have sons in the future, what would be their genotypes? Explain how you can know without knowing her husbands genotype
