This is a written assignment so please answer in a paragraph format for each part and explain it clearly how this works. Here are the three covalent compounds: PH2- , SeF4 and NO3- .there are two parts of this assignment. Part one involve drawing lewis structures for the molecules assigned and part 2 involve describing the VSEPR geometery of those structures.Rather than just drawing the answers, please describe how you approached and solved the structures and geometry for each.Â
PART 1:
(A): Draw the Lewis structure for each including formal charges and describe in paragraph format how you went about solving the problem and making sure the answer was correct.
(B): one of the three structures will have a resonanace structure.Write how you identified the correct compound out of the three and how you identified how many resonance structures there were total.Â
PART 2:
Draw the correct VSPER geometry of each molecule, bond angles and name of the resulting geometry. In the case where you have a resonance structure, you should have an answer for each reonance structure.
NOTE: please explain clearly how this works.I am putting up more points for this
if 5.00 grams of NaHCO3 decomposes, what is the mass of the carbon dioxide produced?
A 1.013-g sample of ZnSO4xH2O is dissolved in an aqueous solution of BaCl2. The pure BaSO4 precipitate is filtered out of solution, dried, and its mass is determined to be 0.9400 g. What is the value of x in ZnSO4xH2O?
What is the theoretical yield of aspirin in the reaction of 3.60 grams of salicylic acid with excess acetic anhydride?
pure nitrogen can be prepared when an aqueous solution of ammonium nitrite decomposes to form water vapor and nitrogen gas. How many grams of ammonium nitrate must have reacted if 3.75dm3 of nitrogen gas was collected over water at 26C and 97.8 kP..
Draw the LUMO Huckel MO for the cation 1, 3, 5-heptatriene (carbocation is carbon 7). Also, please state the number of pi electrons in this conjugate system
What are the steps to recrystallize an impure solid? Answer 1. Heating the water. 2. Dissolving the solute.3. Letting the solute cool.4. Collecting and washing the crystals.
If the initial pressure of iodoethane is 894 torr at 245°C, what is the pressure of iodoethane after three half-lives?
Write an equation for determining the average atomic mass number of an element that has two isotopes. Isotope 1 has a relative abundance of 33%, and isotope 2 has a relative abundance of 66%.
The mass percent of an element in a compound is the mass of the element (total mass of the element's atoms in the compound) divided by the mass of the compound
Use the van der Waals equation of state to calculate the pressure of 3.20 mol of Xe at 481 K in a 5.80-L vessel.
A gaseous reaction occurs at a constant pressure of 40.0 atm and releases 68.0 kJ of heat. Before the reaction, the volume of the system was 9.00 L. After the reaction, the volume of the system was 2.00 L.
