A restaurant is designing a database to keep track of customer services.
A customer is defined as a customer ID, name, address and a telephone number. Customers are served by employees.
Each employee is defined as an employee ID, Employee name, rank and branch. Database is designed based on the following requirements:
A customer will be served by many employees (at different times) and each employee can serve many customers at different times. All customers in the database are served by at least one employee, but not all employees in the database serve customers.
The restaurant wants to keep track of employee services, i.e. which employee served which customer at a specific time.
Based on these requirements;
a. Identify the 2 entities.
b. Identify the primary keys and attributes for each entity.
c. Draw the entity-relationship diagram
d. Normalize the entity-relationship diagram by identifying the attributes of the additional entity.
