Draw from frameworks presented in the course lecture on "Conflict in the Family Business" to answer the following question: What are the reasons for the conflictual relationship between father and daughter? What type(s) of conflict exist(s) in their relationship? How do they attempt to handle the conflict? Is conflict necessarily bad in this family business?
5. Draw from the lecture on the four different bases of family business successor commitment and discuss the reasons why Andrea stays with the business. What commitment bases keep her stay with the business? Analyze Andrea's decision relative to all four bases of commitment. What are the expected ramifications for her performance in the family business?
6. Andrea appears to have many conflicting goals. What should she do? Recommend a plan of action for Andrea and help her sort out and prioritize her conflicting goals.
