In a multiphasic screening clinic, patients arrive at a rate of one every 5 plusminus 2 minutes to enter the audiology section. The examination takes 3 plusminus 1 minutes. 80 percent of patients were passed on to the next test with no problems. Of the remaining 20%, one-half requires simple procedures that takes 2 plusminus 1 minutes are then sent for reexamination with the same probability of failure. The other half are sent home with medication.

Simulate the system to estimate how long it takes to screen and pass 200 patients. Draw flowcharts showing the event execution logic and use Excel spreadsheet to run the simulation model.

Using Arena software, run the system to estimate the average time customers spent in the system (Terminating time = 10000 minutes).
