Draw a diagram showing all the forces acting on the meter ruler when a mass M is hung from its center of gravity and the ruler is balanced at the 60 cm mark with the 100 g mass hung from the point C. Taking the weight of the ruler as W and keeping all the units in N and m, take the torque of all forces about the 60 cm mark and write down an equation connecting M, x and W. Arrange this equation in the form y = mx + b and identify m and b in your equation. (When writing the equation, use W in the slope.)
