Block Diagram. Draw a block diagram for the reactor. (Include the target mass production rate used in Task 3 ( which is 64500 Kg/hr). Use Microsoft Visio if you can). For this reaction, unreacted materials and by-products leave the reactor as solid, in a separate stream from the gas Hydrofluoric acid in which pass to. when the reaction is completed the product (HF gas) leaves the kiln to the pre scrubber. The gas is liquefied in the condenser then falls into a vessel. whereas, the byproduct of calcium sulphate (gypsum) falls down easily through the reactor outlet because of the kiln slop, the calcium sulphate (CaSO4) falls into the anhydrite discharge screw which then fed into the anhydrite handling system to prepare it to be sold

The reaction is

CaF 2 + H 2 SO 4 → CaSO 4 + 2H
