Scenario:

Could you please draft a referral for Mrs Jamie Smyth to see Dr Alex Juergensen Endocrinologist?

Mrs Smyth advised me she has moved, and the new address is 58 Bowen Bridge Rd, Bowen Hills 4006.

Content for the letter: Under Tx for Hypertension with Rx Accupril 5mg BD, last 8 months presented with increased alopecia, hypotension, increased weight, reduced peripheral perfusion and severe fatigue. Testing for TSH 5.6, T3 2.1 and T4 4.6.

Ceased Rx Accupril, commenced Rx levothyroxine 100 mcg daily, no impact on TSH T3/T4 and increased BSL levels occurring.

After couple of days

Mrs Jamie Smyth has come in. She is wanting to know what some of the medical words are in the letter. She is very on to it and likes to know what is going on.

Your instructions for the role play:
