Research the recent changes in industry, legislation and customer service practices to identify an organisation's internal and external communication needs. You will need to identify at least three (3) internal and three (3) external needs and for each provide a brief description of the communication need, referencing legislative and organisational requirements.
There are many traditional and trending issues that businesses may wish to address. Part 2: Communication policy
Strategies to meet organisational needs become organisational policies and procedures/protocols, which may already exist but need to be updated. Access a current communication policy and review and adapt its policy statement to ensure it meets your organisational communication needs.
The policy should include protocols to address at a minimum the three (3) internal and three (3) external communication needs identified for your organisation above. Draft the six (6) communication protocols, three (3) internal and three (3), to be included in the Communication Policy, including guidelines for how to engage with others ethically, effectively and efficiently.
The communication policy must cover a broad spectrum of the business, i.e. apply to all areas/contexts of the business. Your policy document should be comprehensive, importantly, you need to ensure that your policy encourages inclusive, respectful communication protocols for all stakeholders within the organisation.
