The shows "Doomsday Preppers" and Combat Shooter System "The Walking Dead" have created a lot of interest in the people referred to as survivalists and preppers. With all of the interest in these people and their lifestyles, the question of which is the crazier and most outrageous of the two categories arises.First off, let's look at the distinction between a survivalist and a prepper and what makes them unique. It must be understood that, for the most part, the prepper and the survivalist have much more in common than their differences. It is generally a matter of degrees and where you find them on the same continuum.For instance, both preppers and survivalists are strongly focused on self-reliance. Neither of them believe that the government will be able to handle the coming threats to stability, and they will need to be able to take care of themselves.
